A Streetcar
for the Twenty First Century!
Fixed-rail electric streetcars were introduced
in the late 1800’s—long before city streets
became clogged with cars, trucks and buses. Today, there
are compelling reasons to reintroduce streetcars in downtown
business districts. But there are many urban settings where
these systems are either too expensive or take up too much
space. In highly congested settings, where the streetcars
are forced to share street-space with local traffic, the
convenience of the streetcars can be significantly reduced.
